About GEBA

The Great Eastern Balloon Association, Inc. (GEBA) was formed in 1984 as an association of balloon pilots and crew created for balloonists in the middle-Atlantic states of the USA. GEBA is managed totally by volunteers and has been providing Continuing Education Safety Seminars annually since 1986.  GEBA is the only ballooning organization ever to have received an educational grant from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). This grant allowed GEBA to conduct a first of its kind, highly recognized seminar on powerline avoidance. FAVIA 225 and GEBA hope to continue this trend in innovative education by producing a high quality instructor symposium.
